Those "Fire-sales"(divorces) made paupers out of a lot of good men! All in the interest(purported) of equality and ridding our society of the scourge of "dead-beat dads." Hardly any dads left in the inter-cities, but an awful lot of working stiffs writing checks for vacations they don't get to enjoy. Ask me how I know.I ordered a 6" Python from the Custom Shop, had a 6" Diamondback .22 NIB, and a 4" Diamondback .22 shooter that had been worked over by a good Smith. Divorce forced sale 27 years ago.![]()

Hell ta pay, someday!!!
Talking about the old Pythons brings tears to my eyes. I bought a 6 inch blue Python from Barker's department store back in the early 60's (for $125). It was beautiful and shot well. I sold it or traded it for ???? I guess we all have made stupid decisions.I had a 4" blued python years ago that I bought for $600.
I am ashamed at what I let it go for and will forever hate myself for parting ways with such a finely crafted and finished handgun. I will have to see if the new Python even comes close to the old ones to consider spending the money they are asking.
Finish is one thing but the function would have to match the old Pythons before I would buy one.
