Colt M2012 bolt rifle - any opinions or experience?

I got to shoot a Colt M2012 CLR this afternoon. My initial impression was very positive. With PMC blasting ammo, I was able to keep my group at an inch from 100yards. I felt that was good considering the stock was not adjusted to me and I had a hard time getting consistent eye relief with the scope. The action is a Cooper and it has a Timney trigger.

After today's shooting session, I'm considering it for my next purchase. Anybody own one or have any first-hand experience with it? I'd like to get some other's opinions. From my limited research, it looks like it was primarily sold in .308 but also available in .260. Thanks in advance for your help.

For the same amount ($3000) you can build a very nice custom rifle, capable of much better than 1". If my LR rifles shot an inch, it better be at 400yds.

Ditto! Don't put that kind of money in a factory gun when it could get you a custom. Find a custom to shoot at your gun range of choice. Most guys are happy to let you and will undoubtedly give you more advice. Once I shot my first custom, all my factory guns get a lot less use. I won't buy a factory rifle anymore, unless a "unique collectible".
