A first for us and hopefully added to our selection of events at CRC.
40 shot Military Rifle Silhouette Match
Oct. 3, 2021 on the CRC silhouette range.
$5.00 entry fee. Start time 9-9:30 am.
Open to members and non members.
Open to any bolt action or semi-automatic military rifle both domestic and foreign manufacture.
As issued open sights only, no optics or red dot sights.
Calibers allowed are 6.5mm/.264 dia. and up. NO .223 rifles.
Targets will be NRA full size steel animal silhouettes set up at reduced distances. Chicken@ 100 yds. Pig@ 150 yds. Turkey@ 200 meters. Ram@ 300 meters.
Firing positions allowed are standing, sitting, kneeling and prone. Slings OK, no bipods, bags or rests allowed. Shooting mats OK. This match will follow standard NRA timed string rules. Two minutes and thirty seconds to fire five shots, one shot at each target moving left to right. Two five shot strings per bank of animal targets. Ten shots total per bank.
Plans are for four (4) relays with thirty two (32) shooters maximum.
Shooters are allowed to have a shooting partner with a spotting scope.
Safety glasses, hearing protection and ECI/OBI required. Muzzle brakes discouraged. No steel core ammunition allowed.
There will be ample pre match practice time.
Come join us for a fun day using your military rifle to knock over reactive steel silhouette targets.
