Club Voting

Our shooting club is voting for officers and a bunch of bylaw amendments next month. I rcvd a packet of names and amdmts to vote, and send in to club. I noticed on the provided envelope, my name on back with note it is to confirm membership and if defaced it will be trashed. Was told that ballot will be removed and envelope will go in trash can. Also it is Robert's Rules Of Order compliant. Does this sound kosher to you guys? Maybe I am just getting Obama goosey :. Thanks, Ron.

It's a fairly common way to handle voting by mail. I've even seen them where a signature was required so the examiner could validate that the signature matched the one on file.

Thanks for the info. Guess I have been watching too much tv news. Everything I see about the current regime makes me more sceptical about these sort of things. I hate to throw my vote away, so will send it in. It is apparently by the rules. Ron.
