I have tried everything in the past to keep the velcro stuck to the barrel and I haven't found anything that lasts any length of time at all except for apparently I bought the right velcro Once Upon a Time and my old Savage the velcro still stuck I'm just using the sticky stuff on the back. But I've tried every other kind of glue and it doesn't do anything they all only last a very short period of time

Velcro doesn't come unstuck at the breech end of my barrel. At the muzzle end, try sticking it right round the diameter of the barrel, then locking the join in place with a small piece of the opposing velcro.

Ive got barrels thats had velcro dots on them for 20yrs. It takes a lot of effort to get those dots off
