I while back I picked up a Vudoo V22 along with the Vudoo bore guide. My plan is to do some work testing how clean a barrel needs to be to shoot best.
My problem started with the design of the Vudoo bore guide as it does not remain straight when in the action. Obviously the part that is inside the action is straight, but since it protrudes out the back of the action so far, it takes on a bend that impedes the effectiveness as to why I bought the bore guide in the first place.
I'm wondering if any of you have the same problem and what did you do about it? I'm thinking of just cutting it shorter so it does not stick out so far behind the action.
Second question is your ultimate accuracy cleaning routine?
How often do you clean and how exactly do you ultimate accuracy guys clean rimfire?
Some guys say they never clean their rimfire, while others clean frequently.
My Vudoo shoots okay, but it just seems like it wants to shoot better somehow. Maybe its my Tuna Can adjustment, maybe ammo/lot selection, or maybe its just the cleaning routine...
Ideas?
