Cleaning rod shipping

Is rediculous. Tried to buy one last nite and the cheapest shipping i found was $45 for std ups. I get 8’ plus fishing rods shipped to me for cheaper. Any suggestions?

I bought one yesterday from Midway USA and used their free shipping code. No issues.

Really don't want to talk about why I had to buy another one and where my the one ended up ...

just got 48" bore tech from brownells,well actually sinclairs about a month ago with free shipping code.I haven't tried to ship one on my own though but I would think post office could beat $45. Ive used my local PO alot for different things and have had good luck out of them, knock on wood

Ive got a ton of rods but the main thing i was wanting was a rod case from boretech and was going to order a friend a couple rods he needs while i was at it

Almost everything from Amazon is shipped free if you have Prime. If not shipping is very reasonable and super fast.

That price i showed there was 2 rods and a case. The rods had special shipping but the case does not. Its longer and heavier but cheaper

Try to call them. Sometimes online shipping quotes are weird.

I just purchased a new rod from Optics Planet on eBay and the shipping was free. That same rod directly from Dewey was going to be like $40 for shipping.

Will hold 4 boretech rods. 2 handle down, 2 handle up. Maybe 3 handles on one end.

2019 UPS placed an additional surcharge on packages exceeding a certain length. This necessarily including such items as cleaning rods, fishing poles and rifle cases. Use the 'free shipping' option when available although that sometimes involves the Post office 'Sure Post' which allows for 7-10 days shipping by mule train. Amazon is the one exception except they are cutting back on the number of items which meet the Prime free shipping offer.

As to the dilemma on rod cases, I will continue to build them out of PVC pipe and caps which screw on and off and offer much more protection.

They have flat rate shipping. Very good in this instance
