Cleaning green film off brass

Breaking in a new gun today, cleaning after every three shots with carbon remover and copper remover, came home tonight to resize and a few shells have like a green gritty film on them. I am guessing they must have come in contact with some of the cleaner. Anybody ever have this happen and is there anything you use to take of the green? The cases are tumbling now but I don't think the green stuff will come off in the tumber matter.

Its very important when cleaning the bore to swab the chamber dry afterwards. Any oil/solvent left in the chamber will not allow the brass to grab the chamber walls creating dangerous pressures on the bolt.
Whether or not the tumbler removes the corrosive effects on the brass you used look at them as a lesson learned.

I use the corncob material in my tumbler and regardless of what I see on the casings (usually no green stuff) I do find a film of "green stuff" on the inside of the lid to my tumbler whether I tumble 40 casings or 100 casings.
But as for the bore, I use Butch's bore shine, but also use "Prolix" on my last two patches and a clean dry patch as the last patch down the tube. Prolix is a good biodegradable light liquid made specifically for firearms and leaves no films or gunk that attracts gunpowder or other junk left inside the barrel or receiver after a firing. I use it to also clean the outside of my rifles including the stock and hads worked well for me for several years.

After cleaning the bore i always clean the chamber with a long pistol cleaning rod with a paper towel wrapped around a nylon brush with alcohol. the alcohol will evaporate very quick and leave the chamber dry as well as clean. Just one more way to skin the cat. SEMPER FI! .... LARRY
