Cleaning brass with Carbon X?

We use this stuff at work all over the place. It cleans up coked up oil and carbon in the exhaust and thrust reverses really well. I was thinking it might work well for cleaning brass. I was wondering if anyone has done this yet? http://www.arrowmagnolia.com/productcart/pc/CARBON-X-54p126.htm

Where is your brass flying to?

Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 used this product and the whole aircraft disappeared.


Sorry I worked on aircraft for over half my life and had a perfect maintenance record. None of the aircraft I worked on ever crashed or got stuck in the sky.

Someone needs to test this stuff. As it is a degreaser, I would be concerned with after-use corrosion of the brass.

If there is any ammonia in it I would be very hesitant to try it.

Dark, very dark sir. Lucky for me the planes that did get wrecked were due to stupid pilots that didn't know the difference between the emergency gear blow down and the emergency brake levers...or how to keep the plane on the runway.

Pleasantly scented, and stainless, it leaves no oily film or residual gumminess. Safe to use on metals, electrical insulations and most painted and plastic surfaces." I can only guess the only tarnishing/corrosion you would get would be from the water base, but from what I've read so far there are lots of guys who use got water and soap for cleaning brass.

If there is any ammonia in it I would be very hesitant to try it.
