Cleaning bolt action lugs/throat with AR chamber brush

Hey all, just curious if anyone has tried the AR style chamber brushes for cleaning a bolt action carbon ring/lug/throat area…bought the 223/556 chamber brush for cleaning my 243…was excited until I thought about the steel brush part for cleaning the lugs…will this steel brush harm anything or scratch the action like crazy when inserted or will I be ok? If it’s a no go recommendations are welcome!

Thank y’all!

I made a pair,one for lugs,and the other for a mop.

ONLY because we have an ongoing supply of CF arrow shafts, lots of figured wood "drops" for turned handles. Ordered the white industrial felt off evilbay.

They work great, would buy and use the commercial offerings in a heartbeat if we didn't have all the stuff lying around.

OP,

Something like this for the locking lug recesses. I made a pile of these for the students at a sniper school I taught at. They screw on to a regular old cleaning rod. I have some extras. Send me your contact info and I’ll drop one in the mail for you.
