Cleaning bags

Should the bags in the front and back be cleaned periodically and if so how do we do it? It seems to me that Cordura fabric can accumulate a considerable amount of grime which might not be doing any good to a stock.

Do you use it dry or with a shampoo or something? Mine has 2 years of being dosed with powder and now needs a deep cleaning but I don't want to damage the coating on the underside of the Cordura.

So far dry has worked, I would use Naptha (dry cleaning fluid) if dry hasn't worked.
