Chrony chronograph diffusser help needed

I have a Chrony chronograph with the 14" plastic diffusers and they finally broke. I was wanting to know if anyone has made diffusers out of other plastic . If so what type of plastic could or needed to be used?

Chrony will sell you a new set for not much money. Easier than sourcing plastic and cutting them and arranging a fastening system. Way cheaper too.

I have used a piece of white corrugated plastic before and it worked just as good if not better than the diffusers. I used a part of a Pioneer seed road sign. A rectangle piece that is big enough to cover the whole chronograph, I didn't bother trying to cut strips to match the factory pieces. Really it seemed to work better in bright sunlight.

Was the road sign material solid color or near the color of the original diffusers white color. Any chance of a picture to danm2116@sbcglobal.net.I called Chrony and the set shipped is $20.

It was just plain old white plastic cardboard.

Election signs work well. Also good for target backers. I will refrain from saying which party I appropriate my signs from

Found a plastic shop locally and picked out a sheet of plastic ( $5.00 ) that closely resembled the original diffuser plastic , cut the ends off of the original diffusers and attached to strips out of new plastic. Simple job but works great.
