I am interested in a March Scope. Can you give us details about buying one? Did you order it from Kelbly's? How long did you have to wait, etc.? A range report would be much appreciated when you get the time.

I ordered mine mid July but they were already sitting in customs. They should still have a few left if you want one. It was a pleasure dealing with Kelbly's.

Will be shooting with it Saturday.

So far, optically, it is the best thing I've ever seen.

I shot with the March yesterday and initial shooting impressions are, well, as you would expect, GREAT!

First shot on target had me about 1 moa high and 3 moa right after boresighting. I used my same aimpoint and dialed the crosshair to the first shot. Shot 2 was a bullet hole high but centered. Usually with using the same aimpoint and dialing the crosshair to the bullet hole, my second shot never goes where it should. It usually takes a few more clicks to zero perfectly. While dialing this scope, watching the crosshair move in a perfect straight line across the target, with an even change per click, was pure delight.

Optically, I used a Leica 62mm APO Televid to compare to the March, both at 40X, and at 100 yds. it was a dead heat.
At 700 it was very close with the Leica having a slight advantage. The Leica was also positioned about 3 ft higher and 5 ft farther left of the March looking downrange. On this range, the farther left you get, as well as getting higher is very much an advantage in optical clarity. It's just due to the layout of the range.

Next test will be with both side by side. I also think dialing the Leica up to 48x will be tested to see if keeping the exit pupil the same between the two nets any difference in results.

I'd say that was an awesome christmas present alrighty...Well was it worth the $2500 ??? I've only looked through one on a not so friendly atmosphere and wasn't sure if it was or not...what do you think now that you got one...?? DID you feel it was clearer than the 42X lightforce...or brighter and what about the Leupold competition series..how do they compare to it..I know they track sweet..was watching a guy jumping around from 200-300-500 back and forth checking it and it never moved a hair left and right.. and seems to go exactly back up and down as dialed..

It was $2100 from Kelbly's. I bought it to use on my 1k rifle and so far, it looks really good. Optically, I compared it against the finest optic I've used on the 1k range I shoot on.
I will know more at the next match just how good it is, and I have not had the opportunity to compare against the LCS 40x or the Nightforce. I have looked through 2 Nightforce 12-42's and while they were good, I would tend to believe the fixed 40x to be better. I have a friend who has an LCS, but I don't know if it's a 35x or 40x, and he is a fellow RFBR shooter, so we could only really compare them at 50 yds.
The tracking looks to be dead on, and I did not have any settling issues SO MANY scopes have. Only other scope I can compare it with tracking wise is an S&B, which track very well.
I shoot for score, and tracking can not be sub par, it has to go where and how much I dial it, each time, every time.
I have lost so many points to weird elevation from a certain $1400 scope that had settling, repeatability, and zero issues.
I am hoping that is in the past.
After getting my 100 yd zero, I moved up 14.75 moa to go to 700 and every shot hit the same poa on elevation. None of the first shot or two being .5-1moa higher than what I dialed, like my previous scope.
I looked forward to comparing it to other scopes optically, but what I really bought it for was the poa/poi stability that I have heard so much about.

One less excuse now Brian. You better bring your A game to the next Hard Rock. It's really going to suck if you get beat by Mike Rogan. Well, nevermind that, you could prolly beat him with irons. I hear thru the grapevine that he WILL be coming to the final match. B.Veal is looking fwd to it! I have ANOTHER .308,just got it last week, Surgeon action, Bartlein 11 twist in AICS) and I have to try and get some data for it. I will be shooting on late relays due to the Badger brake on this one. See you Thursday night!

It's the problem and the solution- One less excuse.

I always bring my A game, problem is sometimes it just ain't good enough. Too many good shooters around.
