Christmas alone

A lot of people experience Christmas alone. After my mom passed away I spent 4 years spending the holidays all alone. People really don't even understand what the word alone means. Until they experience it for themselves.

Well, I'm experiencing my first Christmas in years not alone. It's funny it almost takes him getting used to again. But my fiance Lauren and I have had an incredible Christmas, and it's not even Christmas yet. She has truly changed everything.

Anyway, the point I was trying to make is, if you know someone that's spending Christmas alone this year, make a point to try to make them not feel alone. Because even if people don't let on about their loneliness it's incredibly difficult. And keep in mind, that even including them in your Christmas might still be very uncomfortable for them. Because you can be alone in a room full of people.

I hope the people who read this understand this message. Merry Christmas to everyone. Remember that Jesus is the reason we celebrate Christmas. May God find you.

I got It Tommy Mc Thankyou Sir well said !!!

A thoughtful message and appropriate. Holidays are difficult for those who lost loved ones. I know, it's something you never get over, but you learn to endure.

If you are a spiritual person, it can help. For me personally, being a Christian has made all the difference in dealing with the loss of my beloved wife of 48 years. This will be the third Christmas without her and while it is difficult to say the least, my faith in Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior sustains me.

May the Lord shine his blessing on all of you and may you find peace in your heart.

Well said Brad,
I have a very similar situation as yours so I totally get what you’re saying, I have been alone in a room full of people.
Merry Christmas sir to you and your fiancé

I have a friend who is a former site member. A ready nice gentleman. He is alone this Christmas and the best I can do is call. We’re too far apart in miles to have him for dinner.
Just me and my fiancé, not a big deal at all but I don’t like him being by himself.
For some folks this site is their only friend. (Way more than I like to think about)
Seems small to some but to others it mat be all that have. And for them it may be enough.
I try to remember there are those out there that have more worries than trying to get their 6.5BR to group.

This Christmas will prolly be the roughest. Losing my mother in October and my sister in November.
I know we can rely on the memories of Christmases from the past.
I will spend the days with my niece and nephew.
May God bless each of yall and your families during the Holidays.
Merry Christmas from the Webb family

I can't imagine how difficult that must be... Bless you my friend.

We will all be united soon enough. And then this life will be a vapor in time.

Very thoughtful messages here. Loneliness can be very troublesome especially with Holidays. Sometimes it means the most to simply pick up the phone and give a person that you know is alone a quick call. Let them know you had them on your mind at this special time of the year. And most importantly remind them of the reason for the season and the most important Birthday of All. God Bless Us All and may we all have a blessed New Year.
