Cheek Risers

Looking for some suggestions on how I can increase the height of a comb on a Savage F class stock. I have the lowest rings and scope base but still need to come up higher on the stock.

Thanks

There are a couple of alternatives depending on how high you need to go, of course.

Use soft material, something like moleskin is available online to add to the cheekpiece to raise your head in small increments.

Kydex cheekpiece is adjustable for adding a little to a substantial amount of height. Two holes drilled through the buttstock for locking bolts.

Cut the cheek section of the stock off in order to add steel or aluminum adjustable hardware.

In Viet Nam, we used field expedient solutions, duct tape and foam from a mattress...;)

Going we a Kydex is the quickest and least expensive. You can dip it in hot water and shape it just about however you want.

I use the Kydex on my F gun. Just make sure it is mounted far enough back to allow the bolt to be removed without adjusting the cheek piece. I suppose you could also just cut a slot in the cheek piece for the bolt handle to slide into instead of mounting it far enough back to clear.
