Cheap brass storage/organizing solutions?

I have a lot of brass accumulated over the years, bought cheap and stacked deep as they say. What CHEAP storage solutions do folks use to store/organize their brass? i am retired , so CHEAP, is of the essence!
I have brass, new and fired, and in various stages of processing in 22 ( :) or:(: not sure right now) calibres.

Thanks!

Home Depot 5gal paint bucket for deep storage.

Similar to Fauxhaus… clear plastic containers that are stackable. Blue painters tape and a sharpie or label maker.

I have my Brass Processing Checklist that I drop in each container. This way I don’t have to remember what steps have been completed, what still needs to be done or if cases are designated for a specific rifle.

I use $5-$6 clear, stackable, plastic bins. I use painters to label the bins for caliber, new, ready to load or what stage of brass prep. Works for me and not very expensive.

Same here. Guessing mine hold about 5ish k each and stack nicely in the component closet

I take any that I've separated by brand, cartridge, prepped, etc and put them in quart or gallon zip-lock bags - with notes- and then into the plastic shoe boxes which are stackable.

This covers quantities of hundreds, not thousands. If I acquire thousands of a particular type, I get rid of some. jd

Over the years I have accumulated a large stash of MTM style 50 and 100 count boxes for mid-process and processed brass mostly to keep the case mouths as processed. For range scrap I started with 5 gallon buckets. For a few cartridges I figure I don't have nearly enough until I count brass by the bucket not by the case. As I age and time passes with getting lucky a few times I have stepped backwards to 3 gallon buckets for easier lifting and toting. On and around the bench I use Tupperware (and knockoffs) and assorted baking tins. If I were starting from scratch I'd buy stackable bins compatible with the Hornady equipment. I have some from Harbor Freight that are useful but not compatible.

Thanks guys, really big help. Now to figure the best size to get.
Have a great day!
Go measure the depth and height of whatever you plan to store the container on/in. I use two different types of Sterilite brand containers (sold everywhere and also Amazon). One is same size as shoe box (purple handles in picture) and the other is a slightly smaller footprint (red and green handles in picture). The Smaller container comes in a shallow and deep size.

The Large “shoe box” container is 14” L x 7.5” W x 5” H, which makes it perfect for storing in metal wire racks.

The Smaller container is 10.75” L x 6.5” W x 5.25” H (deep) or 2.5” H (shallow)

I have been using these for past 15 years without any issues of splitting. I stack the Large containers 3-4 tall completely full of brass cases without issue. I use the Small containers to hold everything else (dies, tools, parts, magazines, small batch brass, etc). These bins really help control the chaos and easily storable and portable.
