Cheap 6BR bullet?? - Like how the 30BR has the 125gr Speer TNTs

Dimner

I do believe in Captain Crunch.
Wondering if there is a cheap, go-to standard 6BR bullet that people are using? Similar to how people have had luck in the 30BR with the speer 125gr TNT.

I'm not competing, I'm just going to be learning mid distance shooting while prone at 300yds. Does a bullet like this exist?

I found some sierra 100gr SPs at under 20 cents each (Sierra 2nds). Would that work?

They're not too bad. I had better luck with the 100 gr. Tipped Game Kings . Paid under 29.00 a box. Hornady 87 gr. HPBT is also a good "cheap" bullet.

Another Vote FOR, the Reasonably priced, very accurate,.. Sierra 107 gr. MK's ( the New, "Tipped" version ! )
My 6 XC, Loves them, at Lightly,. "Jammed", in the lands and 40.7 grs of, StaBall 65,.. w/ "Thrown" Chg's.
In fact, I'm loading, a Batch,.. NOW !

I think it’s important to remember that the barrel and chamber are the most expensive part. $800 for a barrel and chamber, and you get 2400rounds, that’s $0.33 per shot.

Budget bullet is 0.30. Powder, 30gns, is 0.21 per shot at $50 a pound. Primer is 0.08. Brass, assuming $1ea and 24 reloads is $0.04. Put it together and each shot costs you 0.99 or $2376 to shoot out the barrel. A 0.40 bullet only adds $240 for a grand total of $2516. Is saving 0.10 per bullet a difference that you will appreciate if your groups are bigger than you want, or you get random fliers you can’t explain?
