Chassis System Question

I run MPA and they could benefit from better inletting. They use a V-block for easy machining. MPA have homogeneous inlets for the most part. XLR on the other hand does exact inletting for specific actions. Kyle does very nice work.

This is the model I'm shooting currently in the short action version. I'm finishing the much longer version for some ELR competitions:

APO Sabre Carbon fiber.

This is by far the most comfortable chassis I've ever used and I've used most of them.

My other favorite is the Cadex:

This is the Lite Competition(folding) and the rigid version is the Field Competition.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the great selection of chassis by other manufacturers. MDT has several models as does XLR and MPA. I have nothing but the best reports to make about each of the manufacturers. All have been helpful and interested in what I want as far as a particular build is concerned.

I have a Rem 700SA M40 clone bedded in a HS Precision Police stock and was thinking of putting it in a chassis stock, but I am ignorant of rifle chassis systems. Do you lose accuracy going from a bedded stock to a bedding block in a chassis?

I too was a little skeptical about chassis before I got my first Manner’s mini-chassis but I needed something for a switch-barrel rig that could handle the rigors of being taken in and out of the stock to change barrels without wear to the bedding material. After getting the mini-chassis and going to the range with it and a bedded rifle, I could not shoot the difference.

I have since gotten a full-blown chassis to go with several Manner’s mini-chassis and they all shoot well: I am no longer skeptical.

You may need taller scope rings and will your rear bag fit? Also are you going to need a separate front bag rider? And what else? It's only money though! Enjoy.
