Does anyone make a single shot follower that will fit the Charles Daly/Rem 799/Zatava mini Mauser? I have one in 204 and it doesn't feed that great. Figured I'd just make it a single shot and be done.

Yes it does. Seems as though they weren't sure just what to call it. Mine says Charles Daly and underneath that it says Zatava. And the Remington 799 is the same action I do believe. I ordered a scope base for the 799 and it fits my rifle. The shell extractors fit a Sako Vixen. Lord help me if I ever need parts.

Zastava USA has all the spares you need. The extractors are similar, but not the same, as the small Sako's.

Can the extractors be made to work in the earlier SAKOs ? The earlier long type extractors correct?

There are some subtle differences. They may go one way but not the other...haven't tried. The Zastava/Mini Mark X/Charles Daly bolts are known for the forward edge of the extractor being tight against the back of the barrel. This doesn't let the extractor grab the case and ultimately breaks the extractor. If you have one of these actions, make double sure the extractor isn't touching the barrel at any point during the bolts rotation.

Yea I have a few old long extractors SAKO.
It wouldn’t hurt to have a spare extractor or two.
