chamfer and deburring

Does this need to be done for just plinking rounds? I have always done this because 90 percent of what I shoot is for accuracy. I am reloading some 223 semi just for the spray and pray method.

Once fired brass, out of your rifle or range pick up? I'd measure after FL sizing, you don't want the bullet and case crimped by the chamber if the neck is too long. You going to reuse the plinking brass?

Does it (chamfering) need to be? Not if you don't care about potentially scratching the internal of your sizing die or shaving some jacket material off bullets being seated. In addition, a chamfered inside neck aids in seating the bullet. These adverse conditions are significantly magnified if you don't chamfer after trimming.

What kind of deburring are your referring to? If it's deburring the primer flash hole then the answer is no, it doesn't "need" to be done if you're not concerned about accuracy. With that said, there is some debate whether this is even necessary for precision reloads.
