Chacon don't make the Turbo..Just wondering if anyone here is shooting a Joe chacon turbo bolt action. If so looking for any pros and cons on the rifle thanks
how did i miss you there?I've got a turbo v1, Shilen R0 barrel at 24" with a JNL tuner in one of his custom stocks. Shoots very good, very happy with it . Best I've shot with it is a 199 in ABRA outlaw heavy class, honestly believe the point I dropped was a bad round of ammo as the bolt resistance felt "funny" when I closed the bolt. Didn't have enough sense to shoot another sighter at that moment. Scope pictured was replaced with a SIII 45xED

Not sure.how did i miss you there?
Thanks for the info. Awesome rifleJoe built this rifle as the "grand prize" for the 2022 ABRA Nationals held at Kettlefoot near Bristol TN/VA. I was/am the lucky ticket holder. I know several people that have had Joe build a rifle for them, all are good looking guns, and shoot very well. Mine shoots better than the owner, but I enjoy trying to match it's ability.
Joe sent the rifle to be tested for ammo after he finished the build, but before the Nationals, and a half of a case of the best ammo tested was included in the overall prize. I shot the 199 with this ammo. I also bought a full case of the 2nd best testing ammo, so I just need to improve my "skill set'.
Below is the target I shot soon after I got over the shock of winning the grand prize. I used the ammo that was included, no adjustments, just set the gun in the rest shown above and got these results.

That’s where I’ve seen that rifle. I bought two tickets for it. I really like that color scheme. Thanks for all the helpI've had numerous compliments on the appearance of the gun every time I pull it out of the travel case. Joe does quality work, I don't think anyone would be disappointed with one of his builds.
I bought 4 tickets, so I guess I got a good return on my investment so to speak.
No he builds bolt actions to.I thought he only built semiautomatic rifles? He is known in most circles for his 10-22s
