CFS BLUEPRINTED ACTION WITH PT&G BOLT, ANYONE?

Some of the receiver bodies that have faded spots or are in the raw steel are cleaned free of rust and blued or we have some that were Cerakoted, all after truing as the one shown, If you look real close through the color you can see the swirl pattern of the Gen. III reamer . There are a couple hundred that have been blueprinted straight from the factory and sold because there blueing was of good quality and they would have raw machining marks . We had a special Black Friday Group last year and early this spring that were just Remington Custom Shop Actions that either had our bolts or Remington's trued bolts in them but I can only get them and single shot Remington's once and a great while from the Remington Shop in bulk and they did not appear to be cleaned up on the face but the indicator on the CMM showed them to be true and square .Now if the $380 Action isn't what you are looking for then I have complete custom action Starting at $775 up . For $380 they are a great deal . Our Remington Factory stock Action can be purchased for around $400 dollars if a person wants to do his own truing or blueprinting work . We are trying to offer these inexpensive Trued $380 dollar Actions so Our Gunsmiths, Military and Civilian customers can put together a Rifle better than Walmart and others offer in a Factory or trued unit . We have customers purchase one and then call back and purchase the consecutive Serial numbered ten pack we offer . We have a Action in any condition you wold like or we have the Phone Numbers for are good friends Stiller, Bat, Shilen, Pierce and Borden among others we sell parts or Chamber Tooling to and have our customers deal with for there very fine Actions . Like Jerry Stiller told me a while ago, if a customer doesn't like his Actions he gives them a name and phone number to call for a different flavor and so do I . We all work for the same goal here in the Firearms industry and that's to try and give the customer a fare deal, the only trouble is custom and limited run Actions and Cutting tools are not made over night just like Barrels and Custom Rifles but the Key Board Jockeys from the McDonald's Generation wants everything bagged, Tagged up and delivered while they set in the parking lot . I agree on the value, even if they were untrue that are still a great bargain with your aftermarket bolt on it and I intended to run it either way. It just wasn't what I was expecting to see but if you say that you measured them and blued them where necessary then I will take your word for it and not lose another second of sleep over it. I appreciate the response more than you could know

It is terriffic to get the info directly from the guy who owns the company. You dont get that alot off times thats for sure. And as ive posted it does sound like a heck of a deal even if its only a ptg bolt in a rem action with no trueing at all. Thanks Dave. Now its been ten weeks so send that action over here so I can find out how good it is

I gave a friend who builds rifles a heads up when these actions were first advertised a while back. He ordered one in .223 bolt face and used it to build a very nice little .223 that he just tested this weekend. He builds a fair number of rifles for his son's gun hop and shoots short range benchrest, and does his own barreling for that. He is very pleased with the action. The rifle is very accurate. He has worked with a fair number of custom actions and Remington clones, so he has a good basis for comparison.

Since this post started we have been overwhelmed with the response and purchases on these and those cheaper than dirt barreled Howa 1500 actions . We are grinding and fitting bolts as fast as we can so don't get impatient but do let us know about how many Single Shots to make , Please . Thanks Dave

To the folks emailing asking if Matt over at the store if he will Carbon-graphite dip, or CeraKote colors on the Actions or Bottom Metal he will . They are also setting up Chrome or Black Chrome or Red Chrome along with the air brushing at the Cabin Fever Sports store to do Action, Bottom Metal combo colors and patterns like the pictures of the dipped Howas on our page linked to theirs. He asked for a couple weeks to get everything set up and with the manufacturer of the chemicals at Cerakote one block away there should not be any problems getting colors .

Dave, your guess is as good as mine on how many to make LOL. Hopefully guys will speak up on this thread to give you an idea. I would certainly think they would be the best option for a new f-class shooter. In F-class where right ports are still popular I dont see a down side. I built an f-open rifle for myself on a 700 single shot and it got me a LR (palma format) high master card. I just did a build on one of your PTG actions with one piece bolt and the Primary extraction was very good as well as the bolt fit. So long as the guys doing it stay on top of the primary like this one, you have a winner.

Everything Kiff has made and stuff I bought like reamers and parts have been top notch. For 380.00 it is cheaper than buying a stock one from Brownells so Kiff's deal is unmatched by work and value. I cant find a reason to complain except for the fact that I haven't got one yet. LOL Dave the only thing I wish is your office personnel were better trained to answer questions to spare you the interuption's of your fine work. Signed satisfied!

I know guys including me who want a single shot (40x style) to make smokeless muzzleloader's. That would be outstanding to have a way to get a single shot solid bottom receiver. One guy has them and charge's so much it isn't plausible. So thanks Jdne5b for making a suggestion as wise as you did because without garbaging a 40x or finding one that someone upgraded to a custom and want 600.00 plus for a used 700 action is ridiculous. This is why I love our site, there are so many great people here to give solid answer's and suggestion's for new product's we need.

I have revived orders from you guys on these already and 6 of these were here at the shop from locals having a Kevin Wyatt putting some parts and furniture on them . I ordered 50 short Stainless Steel Single Shot Receivers from Remington this morning and I'm putting in a order with Stiller for some Single Shot Long Actions since Remington said it would be a year to get their Long Action's to strip, Blueprint and grind One Peace bolts to fit . Anyway the Remington Short Single Shot Actions will run at $422.90 and I will get the price for the Stiller Bomber Girl Series Long Action Single Shot as soon as i get the PO filled and the price back from Russ . They told me we had some on sale on the Bomber, B series list on our site . If I do I will have Max and Bernard separate the long and Short and put them on a separate Sales Page . Thanks for the business but your ideas are the thing that keeps us growing . I promise weather its Chamber Reamers, Gauges , Bottom Metal or all these Actions, I will make it as affordably for the Smith or average Shooter and as fast as the Lord will let my Crew and I .
