Wow....really old stuff!! The older the ammo is, the less likely you are to be assured that the ammo was stored in optimal conditions. The Lapua folks told me that storage in conditions over 100 F will degrade the ammo over a period of time. The best thing to do if you are serious about shooting competitively is to send your rifle to a Lapua test center to test ammo. In your case, contact Ryan in Mesa, Az. You will be assured of getting good ammo and will get a full case. I know this is not the place but I happen to have a brick of CX that I will sell. Got it this summer after I won it at the Western Wildcat 6400 prone match. Lot is 25558/606422. $145 shipped.Just spoke to my lgs and they informed me they received four bricks from their supplier. They arrived not in a lapua case as usual but wrapped together with clear plastic on top of the pallet.
I bought one, another gentleman Niko from our BR club bought two and someone off the street bought number four. Niko returned his bricks for store credit weds after finding out the same thing at his tues night br practice.
Lot number posted below.
