Die wax for heavy case forming. For normal Full-length sizing (with a closely fitted die) I recommend Ballistol. Clear, very slippery, non-toxic, no waxy or gritty residue. Try it and you'll wonder why you used other stuff. Die Wax DOES have its place on your reloading bench when you're moving shoulders around etc.

I like Imperial, but the poster is asking about a SPRAY lube. I tried One Shot, and stuck a case in the die. Have not used it since.

PS - Hornady Unique is as good as Imperial; and you get more for less money.

A lot of spray lube is wasted, as half of it goes everywhere, plus you've got to roll the cases over and spray again. No thanks. I'll take the pad and RCBS's water soluble, Case Lube-2, any day.

Hornady One Shot works well, Stand the cases vertical before you spray. It is not a one minute deal. More like 5 minutes or you will stick a case. Spray from 4 sides & brush case necks..

I guess I hastily answered the question with out reading the op question, just followed suit I guess? I do use only imperial die wax anymore. I used Hornady one shot for years untill I discovered Imperial with no problems with stuck cases @ all I just got tired of the messy over spray and like any aerosol you waste about 30% or so. I used the same method as Larry mentioned.

Sharp Shoot R Royal Case Sizing Wax! It's slightly thinner than Imperial, it's half the price, and it works just as well if not better. I have been using it for months now, ever since I learned of it. I likely won't ever go back to imperial.

I do use Lee's lube for certain applications, for many light sizing jobs when you don't need the wax. I also thin it with 90% rubbing alcohol and spray it on my pistol brass when sizing with carbide dies, as it makes running my progressive a lot less work and cases seem to size much better. It's also very easy to clean off your cases.

I avoid any type of lube in an aerosol can or pump bottle like the plague. I had a stuck case with an aerosol lube I will leave un-named, and it was the worst stuck case I have ever had, worse than when I forgot to lube a 30-06 and rammed it into a full length die. >:( And trust me, an unlubed 30-06 case in a FL die is no picnic either.

Royal wax and Lee is all I need. They have never let me down after thousands of rounds.

Waaayy back I used to use the RCBS goo and the pad. Messy and harder to clean off. I think the next step was One-Shot. Much faster and easier to clean afterward. Yes, there is waste but I try to reduce it by standing the cases vertically and staggering the rows. I usually spray 30-50 cases at a time. I only spray from opposite sides and occasionally get one that needs more.

I had a stuck case back when I used the goo (not fun). I have since been able to feel when there is not enough lube and stop before the point of no return.

I also use Imperial wax but I find it slower so I only use it when I'm doing a small number of cases.

I can't say how many rounds I've loaded but I started in my teens and I'm now 64 (for whatever that's worth!). If there were other products tried between the goo and One-Shot, I don't remember what they were.

I don't care who you are That's funny right there :D

I've used Dillon Case Lube for years. It smells while the isopropanol evaporates, but works well for standard resizing.

basically i just want something quicker, i know the lee stuff works good for what i do but by the time i lube 10-20 cases i am ready to quit, maybe when i get to know more about reloading it may not be so manotonous(sorry for the spelling).
to answer some of you alls post i am not moving shoulders or anything real big i load for my 223 and 22-250 i have been resizing the entire case becuase the 22250 cases were used in my encore and i have had some trouble getting them sized well enough to fit my savage, it is hard to close the bolt so i have to size and then test to see if the bolt will close if it does thats great if not i resize agian until it will close without me forcing it. after i shoot those cases will that problem continue? agian sorry for the punctuation and spelling this 2 finger typing is about all i can seem to handle.
