I believe red Iso-Heet is 99% isopropyl alcohol.99% alcohol is way harder to find than iso-heet

Nah, you'll probably start a trend.I accidentally cleaned and lubricated a shotgun action (Rem 1187) with Hornady one shot case lube instead of the cleaner/lube.
Was this a grievous error?
Concerning the RCBS paste and pad -- all I can say is YUKK!! I started out back when most all of us used that stuff, and jumped ship on it as soon as I tried anything else. Now I'll use Imperial for anything that might be a problem, like brass that's been fired in a foreign chamber, and big mag stuff. Most all of my standard sizing is One-Shot, even inside the necks. I also like that it seems to prevent tarnish on old loaded ammo. jdOnly case I ever stuck was with using the Lee paste lube...I used to love that stuff until I got the case stuck in a die, where it still lives to this day. I switched to RCBS gel with pad and that stuff is like butter...but cleaning lube off afterwards is a pain.
I've been thinking about trying Hornady One Shot just so I don't have to clean the caes afterwards.
What is so bad about it?One shot Spray=bad ju ju.

Same experience with the RCBS lube pad...Still have the original bottle of lube from the 80's!LOL. I remember trying the pad type lube back in the 80's when I started shooting. One session was enough to convince me that *anything* was better than that.
