Case lube, one shot

The secret to spray on one shot success
Spray it on like you stole it
Give it plenty of time to dry

I like it for 223 and it can really slick up pistol cases as well, used right it’s an excellent option.

I prefer hi-line or imperial for my bigger magnum cases.
The other key is to shake it well - just like the instructions say.

Concerning the RCBS paste and pad -- all I can say is YUKK!!
Are we talking about the same thing? The one I use is a clear gel like lubricant and it's slicker than snot. Sometimes I wonder if the case is even getting sized because I feel zero friction with the Rcbs gel.

But hearing everyone on this post, I went ahead and ordered some Hornady one shot. I see the benefit of being able to treat a bunch of cases at once and doing away with the need to clean them afterwards. Fingers crossed I get good results

Yup, that's the stuff. I'm not complaining about the lubricity; it's that after lubing and sizing 5 pieces of brass, every loose piece of debris in the area will get stuck to your hands, along with the brass you just lubed.

Ok, yeah that's 100% true lol. It's a pain needing to clean the brass afterwards. My Hornady One Shot will be here today...I'm excited to give it a try.

I’ve tried just about every lube on the market as well as the lanolin mix, and what I use now is 1 ½ oz of Hornady LIQUID one shot (not the wasteful aerosol) mixed with 12 oz of red Iso-Heet. The liquid does not affect primers or powder, no post-lube cleaning required. Just a couple sprays in a ziplock bag, shake, let the alcohol evaporate for 15 minutes, and reload. Leaves a nice slick (NOT sticky) coating on the brass that stays for weeks stored in another ziplock. How I came about this is another story….but this mix really works great.

The Hornady One Shot came today...thanks Amazon. I sized 50 cases with it and it works really well and definitely saved me some time by not cleaning them afterwards.

BUT, now my gun room smells like Norwegian taint butter. This stuff stinks.

When the wife got home she asked me what that smell is. So, I did what any honorable man would do; played dumb and gave her a shrug and an 'I dunno'. Which was followed by her walking around smelling the air for 20 minutes attempting to find the source. Note to self...spray it outside.

Before I charge my cases I put one shot on a Q tip lube all my case necks and while my cases are drying I place all my bullets in a plastic container hit them with one shot a couple of times and let them dry. Bullets seat like butter!
