I had a case head separation today in a match. What tool do I use to remove the case from the chamber (6mm Creedmoor)
Past posts have suggested to shove a 30 caliber bronze brush through and jerk back in one quick motion.I had a case head separation today in a match. What tool do I use to remove the case from the chamber (6mm Creedmoor)
Tool junky!BROKEN CASE EXTRACTOR. The proper tool for the job. Got one for every caliber I shoot!! Get them and keep them in your range bag.

7mm or 30 cal bore brush will take care of it every time.Bore brush pushed about 1/2 way through the neck and pulled back usually works
Aren't we all?Tool junky!
Realistically, most people don't have headspace gauges, unfortunately. How many firings on that case ?
Check Your Headspace !!
That's what I had read, but my 300wm case was STUCK. I tried everything, including ordering the 'stuck case removal tool' which just couldn't grab it. I ended up taking a hacksaw blade and with my grinder made one end thin enough to fit into the chamber and GENTLY cut a slot in the remaining brass. I then took a small screwdriver and GENTLY curled up one edge and then grabbed it with long needle-nose pliers.7mm or 30 cal bore brush will take care of it every time.

Ironworker was shooting in a Match so He likely reloads. There are multiple ways to check head space without owning Head Space Gauges.Realistically, most people don't have headspace gauges, unfortunately.
