Case forming dies

I am searching for a good set of case forming dies. I have a wildcat that requires me to utilize shortened .308 cases for this cartridge and since I am retired I choose to take the time do this forming .

I had borrowed two set of these specialized dies and now am trying to locate a set of my own. Do you know of a set available or someone capable of doing the precise work to create the highly polished, radiused inserts involved with necking down cartridge cases to a different size?

Thank you in advance,

Howdy !

What calibre and shoulder angle are you trying to end-up with, on your wildcat ?
I have used stock LEE ( and other brand ) FL dies, for a lot of my recent wildcat work.
If you are going for a 30* or sharper final shoulder angle, you're not going to be mechanically forming your brass to that sharp of a shoulder....
you''d be fire-forming to reach the final shoulder angle.

My point:
Dependent on your wildcat's design specs, you might be able to do a lot of your brass forming work w/ " common " dies.

Sinclair's catalogue list a slew of Redding " case forming " dies. Each type of die is organized into its own columne in the catalogue,
and case formig dies have a columne listing all their own.

" Modifying " dies can be a chore real chore, as they're surface hardness is often " hard as Kelsie's ".

do a search for this thread from 03/05/14 Paul's stuff is top notch. It should be in the commercial sales/sponsors section.

I just got a set of Paul's set back dies. They are very well made & finished, well worth the price.
I couldn't be more pleased.
