Case Forming Dies???

i remember a while back someone here was manufacturing a case forming die that would work with most anything. i think it came with several bushing or something. does anyone know who is was making the dies?

Chuck Williams, I do not know, but, if I had one forming die it would be the 308 Winchester. I form 8mm57, 7mm57, 7.7 Japanese, 7.65mm53 (B.M. Mauser) with the 308 W forming die, it is a matter of keeping up with the die off the shell holder, when off setting head space with a longer case from the head of the case to it’s shoulder the reloader is able to cut down on fire forming, well not everyone, I form first then fire.

thanks for the replies guys. i have made some form dies for my 30x44 but i cant form everything with them. i am not interested in RCBS dies. the set that i am talking about allows you to form almost anything down to .17cal i think. surely someone will chime in who knows about these dies.

If you have a specific catridge in mind I would contact Mark Spencer of Spencer tool and grind. I had Mark make me a form die with multiple inserts and I am very pleased with it. Here is an old post with an example of some of his work

The finish on the die looks nicer in hand than in the photo, turnaround time, communication and price was excellent, he made the go/no go gauges too.

Gees those cases look nice! :) http://spencertoolandgrind.com/ Here's a nice website to get a hold of me or call @ 989.385.0173 just leave a message, if I don't answer. Working on a 10mm Auto necked down to a .22(for a fella named Dusty) . All so hatching out an Idea to ream the necks, of the case, with a bushing. More to come on that.

not to change the subjuct exactly but someone recommended a while back as an intermediate forming die to sued a bullet seating die. they are like .020 oversized. fyi

MDSpensor, me to, the seater die does not have case support meaning the case does not make contact with the die until the mouth of the case contacts the crimping portion of the seater die, then the case folds and or collapse.

Changed sizer die to seater die, forgive

I grind the ID to either match the chamber or reduce the base by .003". So my dies are supported... Like the 7mmRsaum reduced i made. Works good from what I see. That die reduces a WSM to the body of a RSAUM.
