6x45AI is different from a 6TCU, 6TCU puts the neck/shoulder junction ~.043" closer to the bolt face. Both are +150-200 FPS over a 6x45 for light bullets. Either will get surprising speed from sub 65g varmint bullets with the right powder.

If you already have 243's get a hot rod. The 6br is so slow making it way to 600-800 yds. Great round but you have the 243 AI.........I use a 22-243 AI with 75 gr. A-Max running 3650 fps for long shots and a 22-243 AI with 40 gr. V-Max running a cool 4800 fps. My 243 AI with 105 gr. Berger is a good one too..............Free bore depends on what you want.......My 243 AI loves bullets jammed into lands, 22-243 AI likes .004 off lands..............My 22-243 AI's should be the throat eaters of the barrel community. I get 2500-3500 rounds using moly coating on bullets.
The 22-243 AI with 75 A-Max bullets leaves the 6br running 87 gr Berger's in the dust when it comes to wind drift in the PD towns.

I have decided on a 8" twist 26"-27" shooting moly coated 105 JLK"s. It will be great training for my 1K matches and I have pile of JLK's.
All I need is a F/L sizer, and friend that will build me an arbor seater. 100-105 FB will let me shoot everything from 87 A-max through my primary bullet.
