Carrying loaded .223 rounds

What do you fellas use to carry your loaded rounds to the range or match with. They all rattle around badly in my normal carrying boxes.

Put a piece of foam in the lid. It will take the rattle out. This is what I do. Long drives with the rattling noise is enough to drive you crazy!

I use cut up jeans and cut them to fit inside the lid fold it over 2x and sew the edges up & that stops the rattling.

Someone developing a box that is padded inside and out particularly for those of us that soft seat could be a cottage industry success story probably. You are only limited by your imagination as to how to transport loaded bullets without having them rattle.

j and j products makes a foam lined ammo box product number L R 175. soft seat to your hearts content with no worry.

no rattle as each cartridge is surrounded by foam and does not touch plastic.

I have some big chunks of foam taken out of Pelican cases. It is perforated so real easy to tear apart into thin slabs. I use a single layer in the various MTM cases that I use to store 6BR, 6PPC, 223, 270 and 30-06. It is pretty soft foam, so I'm confident the pressure of the foam isn't seating my bullets any deeper. Could be happening but I'm not seeing it show up on the target at least.

Does anyone have a picture of one or can describe what one looks like? Measurements? I have a small quantity of some older Remington bullets and before I just plant them in the dirt maybe someone could use them if they are them).

Got a couple of them in last week. They are just what I needed. Thanks.

I load em in P-Mags at home.. I have a small label maker that I use to tag each mag with the load data, or I use a piece of masking tape... Bought a couple of those Plano plastic ammo cans and keep the mags in there.

+1 on the J&J boxes, I just got few for .223, best boxes I've ever had, holds each round securely in its own hole in a closed cell foam block, and holds 175 rounds, and the box itself is very well made and is high quality. I would recomend them to anyone.

Hate to tell you but .223 rounds still rattle like the dickens in these boxes. I purchased 50 of them several years ago.

I wished they would have drilled the holes straight(OCD thing for me) and wished the handle didn't set down so far on the top. My 223 rounds are too long and hit the handle area. Still a good buy overall though.
