Keeping loaded rounds warm

I'm sorry, I misunderstood your hypothetical puzzle, and was trying to win a prize or something... :-\
I agree with you, and other than stability changes, I can't think of anything purely external in ballistics, that would affect grouping.

I never said "hypothetical"...I said experiment. Like I said, I know guys with this set up (except for the AC, and of course the tv, cable, fridge, and the poster on the door)....and I am invited to "experiment" any time I wish....But, I don't need to travel 250 miles just to reload and experamint, especialy if I can recreate the experamint at my bench.

Oh ya..the Prize.....In the winter you have the range to your self, you almost never have mirage, never have a bug problem, and most of us have more free time in the winter. For me time is my enemy...I almost never have enough of it in the summer...family, golf, buisness, and going to matches kills my range time. Plus I can drive ON the water in the winter. I have to drive through the water and mud and crops in the summer on my range.

I don't believe that your time is wasted by trying to load develope summer loads in the winter....Provided you take the proper steps.

I'm just sayin!!

Higher temperature increase chamber pressure, and some powders are affected a bit more than others. Temperature variation also has a slight affect on ballistics.

However, by far the biggest concern with temperature changes is when it causes "condensation" inside your handloads. This is a common problem when hunting ammo is repeatedly exposed to different temperatures.

Please re read the previous posts. Start at the beginning, and read all of the posts.

No one is arguing weather or not ammo temp is crucial to MV and tune. It is.

By the way...."INNOVATIVE" sounds like a familiar handle....I may have baught some specalized tools from you. Do you post on BRCentral?
