They say the carbon wicks it out. I think it insulates it. I wouldnt shoot long strings with em myself

I think that is what's happening.
It appears weight savings and looks are on the plus side, likely stiff enough for a hunting rifle & I have read of a lot of CA Ridgelines shooting well. For me, I think I will run with a med. contour fluted and use the diff in price on good rings and bases.

I have a ridgeline and it shoots as good as any custom hunting rifle out there. Highly recommended by me

How bout carbon fiber barrel AND a carbon fiber stock? Then chamber it in 33nosler topping the scale at 6lbs?

Im sure a short action is a few ounces lighter. Wouldnt be noticable
