New 600yd rifle build stock question

Hello,

I'm planning out a rifle build and trying to narrow down the stock choice.

The rifle is going to be a 16.5lb 6br on a Bat M action, possibly adding a 6.5x284 barrel later. This is my first full build and I want to use the rifle in both 600yd bench and F-class competition, as well as groundhog and egg shoots but they are not the primary purposes of the build.

The stocks I'm looking at are the Masterclass model 1000 Benchrest and the F-Class Prone model with a full toe option. I was wondering if any of you have any experience with either of these stocks in the 600br and F-class disciplines and how they fare. I plan on calling Masterclass tomorrow and discussing it with them but figured it would be good to hear some opinions here.

Either one will more than likely have a 3-way adjustable butplate for prone shooting comfort. The reason I mention this is that I am having a pretty competent gunsmith building the rifle and recoil balancing it also and I was also wondering if anyone had any balancing issues with those butplates.

Thanks in advance for any information.

I would check the weigh of the stock. The M is a heavy action. I built a 6BRX on a M 1.55" round action, with a Franklin lowrider stock. With a NF, it was 16.9 lb in a 17lb class.
