When I started NRA Smallbore 3 position in mid 1970s.I’d like to see those factory tests. Where are they? And 40 years ago. Maybe Olympic, International guys have that data?
And my father acquired a 54 super match rifle for me.
Straight from Anschutz, was stated.
"Do not clean the barrel with anything except a oiled patch"
No solvent
No brush
No soaking
And suggested barrel life before any measurable decrease in accuracy was from thier testing 70000 rounds.
Winchester during the 52 series development with the B variations had records on file of 10 shot , sub 2 inch groups and actually as small as 1 1/4".
There was no "carbon cleaner" developed at that time.
Nore was there bore scopes.
And eley has done ammo testing for well over 125 years.
Im sure, data can be had.
