Can't resize down enough

No , NEVER just start higher Always start at manufactures/manuals start levels . You don't know why that factory load has less velocity . One reason can be you are using a much shorter barrel which will result in anywhere from 40 to 80fps difference every inch less or more of barrel length , never assume anything when reloading .
Gotcha , sorry for the dumb question there lol, on the bright side I got plenty of tac to use. And your right their using a 26" barrel and mines a 24". Well I got some brass to work on I'll load some more and get back will yall

One thing I do when I'm using components I've never used in combination before and I'm pretty sure I will not be using start charges as my final load . Reasons for this would be needing specific velocities for distance or terminal ballistics .

I'll still start at the lower start charges and go up in larger increments for the first few charges but only load one or two rounds at each of those lower charges . This allows me to test those charges and be sure I'm safe while at the same time not wasting components on loads I'll never use . I'll start loading more rounds and reduce the charge increment difference the closer I get to the charges I expect will likely give me the desired outcome I'm looking for .

The load progression will look something like this .

Just call me lazy......

This style comparator is best utilized "mounted",to be as hands free as possible. Along with just about every other mic.....

Dark square piece on top of vise jaws is magnetic(stuff that goes on truck door, signage)with a 1/2" hole, used to locate base of case. Once you start using it this way, you'll appreciate how trying to do it by hand is costing you not only time.... but accuracy. Good luck with your project.

The only reason that we bump shoulders is to create clearance, WHEN WE NEED IT. Typically once fired brass is not at the chamber's full dimension. Set your die to produced sized cases with the same measurement as your longest fired case, and try one or more in your rifle. My bet is that it will fit just fine. You don't have a problem. What with everyone chanting bump .002 all over the internet people tend to mistakenly think that once fired brass when in the vast majority of cases it does not. As a part of my gun hobby I have helped a lot of fellows with reloading issues, including this one. The funny thing is that when I ask them why we bump, there is a long pause. No one has told them WHY we bump. They just "know" that they are supposed to.

Only measure when you NEED TO. No need to be chasing numbers.
If the fired brass will chamber with no resistance, size the neck (if needed) load and shoot.
AND, if you're into cutting down a shell holder, upside down in a drill press or chuck big enough, run it down on an oiled sharpening stone. (measure first) Measure and when you have removed the amount you want, mark it and keep it set aside.
Looks like factory made. Got one but only used it one time. ;)
