Cannon Safe?

Hey guys, I am looking to upgrade my safe. I am looking at the Cannon Scout 48 gun model. I know it will never hold 48 guns but this is the biggest model, I could get into the house. Any pros or cons would be great. Thanks.

I have a Canon 48 gun safe, but not sure if it is the same model. It's the wide body and I bought it at Costco with free shipping to the driveway.
Overall I am pleased with this safe for the price, although the interior is poorly finished in my opinion. The felt that covers the particle board shelves has come lose and needed to be glued.
It is not the same quality as my Fort Knox safe which I bought about 25 years ago at twice the price.

I have 2 that were bought from a cannon dealer and I have one that was sold at tractor supply and there is a definite difference between the 2. I like all of them but if your looking for the quality buy the one from the dealers and not from the chain stores.

Why one big safe and not several smaller ones? Put them in closets. Make the crooks hunt around. Maybe they'll find one and become preoccupied with it, missing the others. I keep my least valuable guns in a locked cabinet that is fairly easily found and defeated. Maybe they'll think they got the mother lode and scram. The others are in hidden safes.

Sorry to be a bit off-topic, but it seemed germane.

I am not a fan of a safe with the inside hinges. They take up more room in the interior and can do damage to a long gun that may unknowingly fallen out of it's slot when the door closed. Also there is the possibility of the hinge getting sprung if opened to far or too fast (or half fast) if you know what I mean. Just food for thought.

I have a Cannon safe ( not the 48) for 20 years and never had any problems.
