Personal responsibility. No one is forcing anyone to attend a match. Personally I think your far more exposed at the grocery store that 100s or 1000s of people walk through every day than 20 guys in open air at a match. No one likes being told what to do, what they can eat, what kind of gun they can own, ext. I prefer to leave it up to the individual. Like many of us, I bring food for the weekend and camp on site. If your situation puts you or family at higher risk, its best to not attend. Each situation is different.

Recently a bunch of kids videoed themselves coughing all over the produce at a store and posted it on facebook. This kind of idiocy is why we are all being told to stay home. Glad mine are grown and responsible adults. I would be in jail if these were my kids but they would in a hospital.

The county closed our range (county park) until the middle of next month (for now). May not be able to hold my first match (Short Range Tactical Rifle) set for April 19th. In the mean time I am loading ammo for the handguns as it is getting hard to find in stores.

Viruses live only seconds in direct sunlight. The ultraviolet light of the sun kills them almost immediately! Unless you French kiss your fellow competitors I think we will be OK. And yes I do have a healthcare history and experience. Paramedic/ Supervisor 21 years, my father was a surgeon/and physician, and my grandfather was a physician since the 1920’s. Samuel Hall

It's one thing to go through life wondering if one could have done something to save a friends life. It's another having to go on knowing that you may have been the reason someone died. This virus kills 70% men and mostly old out of shape men. The kind of guys I shoot with. Many of them are alive now only because some doctor or some pills saved them somewhere down the line. While I figure I'm in good enough shape that I'd have a good chance of living through a bout of this. I doubt many of the guys I shoot with could. And I ain't going to have their death on my conscience.

It may be true for some types of viruses. But it doesn't seem to be so with this one. If it was true don't you think governments around the world would be commandeering greenhouses to use as hospitals and we'd all be order at least to keep our blinds open during the day?

No one can deny that was said, now all I hear is "the government says this" "the government says that". Now in 3 years what has changed? Why should I listen to anything the government tells me. Also I do not think any government is that smart. For example my state has mandated that machines shops that manufacture medical equipment must close down because they are not essential. Seriously what kind of new stupid is that? Dumb and dumber describes them for sure.

OK. It ain't like I'm letting the cat out of the bag. Right now there's a large number of ambulance chasers that are licking their lips at the prospect of finding the surviving spouse or children of anyone that attended any gun club gathering of 10 or more people and died of the Kung Flu. We all know it's not the way it should be. This ain't about who has the biggest balls. It's about having a close by place to go and shoot when this is all over. Some of the local clubs have closed all functions. Hopefully others will also while keeping the ranges open so we at least have a place to go and shoot.

An old saying keeps coming to my mind lately “Down the rabbit hole”! A lot of Americans, and I mean a lot, need to find there way back out of that hole and open their eyes wide open to where our Country is headed right now before its too late. Like I said earlier, it aint the Corona Virus that scares me. And I am at higher risk for complications at 54 with prior lung cancer, stage 3 colon cancer and low immune system.
