Calling intervals

I just bought a foxpro call for coyotes. I was wondering how long to let it call, and how long to mute it for? Or just let it run continuous?

I have a rabbit decoy that has worked well for me with a mouth call.

according to randy anderson don't just let it call continuosly, i would say call for 30seconds rest for a couple minutes and call some more, but that is just my oppinion. you might have better luck letting it go longer.

Personaly, with a hand call I call for 45secs to a minute then sit for 2-3minutes and call again, louder the second time, wait again call again quiter, the wait then call.... you get the idea.

My buddy and I use a foxpro we usually let it run the full time till it shuts itself off and then go from there. Good luck to you.

I have had a good deal of success letting the electronic call run continuously at a low volume and blowing mouth calls over the electronic. Really seems to work on West Texas cats.
