Calling hogs

Was out scouting around the other night. Grass and weeds where super tall so couldn't tell what was what I this sounder I located. Was only after the lead sows or the big boars so I held off till I could tell. Anyway decided just out of curiosity to try some hand squeeks like you would for fox or coyotes and we'll, this big female came running out a good little bit. Again couldn't tell who was who and with this property it isn't a kill everyone on site thing so let her walk.
Anyhow this got me a thinking, anyone successfully call in hogs ? I've seen something call a convergent caller and it seems to be decent and I've had people around here say the big boars will really come in to a fawn in distress if there in the area ( which makes sense they play hell on fawns down here ). But all in all it seems to be pretty hit and miss.

There is an app you can get that has different hog noises, from crunching corn to biting on each other. I don't recall the name of the app and I lost mine when my phone went swimming but an app search my scare something up. Was also bluetooth compatible and worked on my speaker set out about 50 yards. Results were mixed and I ran out of time to really work with the app. Does your ATN NV take those pictures?

Wild Hog Pro by Convergent Hunting Solutions.

The only sound i have ever seen a hog respond to was a feeder motor going off, and i guess they would have to have heard it and associated it with food. But when they are used to getting a free meal when they hear that motor it is a powerful attracter.
