Yes it would be something if California built a wall, set up manned check points at the border and do random vehicle stops on known firearms owners to search cars for ammunition smuggled in from out of state.
Siri, google and alexa lets them know who is the bad guyThey will use license plate readers at the border cross referenced to back ground check databases to set up "home visits"
Guys stop giving them ideas..
They test all the gun law proposals on lab rats and monkeys before they sign them into law. They are way smarter than we give them credit for. Everything we come up with they already have.
You want to be a "TEST CASE"???There's no reason to pay cash to keep in untraceable. California residents can buy all the ammo they want out of state it and use it out of state. It would be the state's burden to prove anything you have you didn't previously own.
That was a marketing ploy by Coors; not a gov't restriction...big difference.
you are correct, I left this out as it was quite obvious since pot is now legal, not sure about mushrooms but I know that Colorado is considering legalizing them and we all now about Cali's open door policy for illegal immigrants. California is merely introducing one law after another aimed solely at making exercising 2nd Amendment rights more difficult with the end game being total denial of the right to bear arms......but they won’t be looking for pot or psychedelic mushrooms or “illegal Mexican immigrants”. What a fine state of affairs.
Their law is written so that a California resident must purchase their ammo through an FFL in their state. I believe I read it is against the law to bring ammo in from out of state.
I go to Sacramento 3-4 times a year.Non Conformist?? And just how many folks will be doing a road trip to Idaho, Oregon, Washington or Nevada? Lets see, 35 MPG should be a cheap ride. Just a road trip Officer.
Like I've said before, there is NO GRAVITY in California, it just sucks. A recall for the new governor? That didn't take long.Good luck with that.
But California is/has been my home for 76+ years and I've learned to live with it. Don't owe anybody anything so I'am still good to go. Don't expect go see anybody beating down my door to get my guns but I'am ready, just in case.Non of this "The sky is falling" crap. I have a good roof.

Lab rats and monkeys? That's Democrats and Liberals to you. And they lap it up like it's candy. They test all the gun law proposals on lab rats and monkeys before they sign them into law.
They waved me right through a week ago..You want to be a "TEST CASE"???

BootleggingWelcome to the black market!
Contrary to popular belief, the actual California gun laws have little impact on precision shooting. There are a few laws that are ridiculous and make it hard on plinkers with ARs but for precision shooters, it isn't that bad.
1. Californians have to spend a few more $ and wait 10 days when they buy an action. Once you have your actions, this isn't a problem. Rebarreling, shipping to gunsmiths, parts, modificaions, etc are no different here than anywhere else. The only component of a precision rifle that is controlled is the action. Everything else you can order all day and all night. Smart sellers love our money.
2. New loaded ammo law creates some hoops to jump through to buy loaded ammo. I never buy loaded ammo, as most precision shooters don't, so no problem. No restrictions on components, bullets, primers, powder, etc. Same laws as everywhere else.
That is it.
The biggest problem Californian shooters face is ignorance. People in other states have this media-driven ridiculous view of California as a bunch of fairies prancing around calling each other by gender-less pronouns. They put in their ads "no shipping to CA" or one large corporate seller started putting a "CA surcharge" on their shipping rates even though there was no factual basis for it.
In reality, California had more Trump votes than any state other than Texas of Florida. Except for the urban areas, we tend to be conservative republicans, just like the rest of the country.
Now I know people who have never shot here will post in this thread that I'm wrong. I'll try to ignore them or at least respond professionally. It will be difficult.
