Cabelas XT 1500 digital scale problems?

Hey all! I have a problem with my Cabelas digital powder scale. I was doing some loading Sunday afternoon and I had an almost empty pound of H380 fall on my scale from the shelf above. My own damn fault, shouldn't stack cans of powder on one another. At any rate, the scale won't calibrate and is throwing a funny error message that isn't in the book. Long story short, is this thing junk and need replacing or can it be salvaged? Don't know how many of you out there have this particular scale or have any experience with it? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Most electronic weighing units depend on stress or strain cells. These apparetly pass a portion of aplied current , the amount depending on the distortion due to strain. If the cell exceeds its limits then apparently they become no more good. Had one do that and it fit the bottom of the trashcan well, since no amount of fidlin' made it better. Sorry, but a call to Manufacturer is worth trying.
