Good news????? Not so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today was going to order some Barnes bullets they had in stock. Price was ok, but when I went to check out on line I noticed a freight charge + sales tax.
I did an online chat with one of their reps, and was told now that they were in S.C, they would be charging sales tax on web orders. That was $18.00 something in addition to the freight.
At the end of the online chat I asked the rep ( during the chat) if they thought sales tax would hurt their online sales? The response was let us know if we can be of further assistance.
Order cancelled. $320.00 of Barnes bullets ordered from Midway USA.
I guess it had to happen sooner or later. I wasn't even aware they were building a store in Greenville S.C. The last I heard they had backed out of building a store in Charleston. Greenville is a 3.5 hour drive. Still charging tax though.
Just venting. I guess you folks in other states with Cabela's stores have already been paying tax on web orders. Waverly
