Bought a left 0ver 2022 Tracker ATV threw Cabela's from a dealer who is now no longer a Tracker Dealership. My machine is 931 mile and the engine lower end crank timing gear let go. The engine has to be pulled and a complete rebuild Tracker says my year warrant is 0ver and no help. That means I have got over $1000dollar's for ever 100 miles of riding on the 4x4 Tracker ATV. And the repair show says a bare min. cost to rebuild is 0ver $1000 for labor alone. No brand of ATV should let go at just over 900 miles. That price does not include parts. I'm 75 years old drive very slow and easy no hot dogging at my age. Tracker has offered no help at this point. My advice don't buy an American made Cabela's Tracker try a Honda, Yamaha, or anything at this pont is better than an Artic Cat or Tracker.

I'm 72 years old and have owned a Honda a Rancher and now have a Polaris Sportsman. Use it around our small farm for transportation and doing farm chores. Also plowing snow. The Honda transmission went south after a couple of years. I bought the Polaris new in 2006 and is still going strong. I did have to have a valve job done on it a couple of years ago by a Polaris dealer.

Just so you know, If your ECM(Electronic Control Module) goes out, you will need a new machine...

If, after 18 years, the ECM does go out I will consider it money well spent and buy another Polaris. Maybe power steering on the new one.

Screw cabela’s. Glorified clothing stores now. Completely clueless about bows, guns, etc

I'm proud to say I haven't bought anything from Cabelas since before their merger with Bass Pro. Actually since 2006 I believe. When they took powder and primers out of the stores, I had no reason to go in. And with the Bass Pro merger, even the quality of their clothes line has gone down.

Last time I was there I was looking at pistols and all had trigger locks. I asked if I could try the trigger on one of them and they said they were not allowed to remove the trigger locks. To me that was the only advantage Cabela's had vs buying online. I buy all my guns online now.

I beat on Polaris machines for more then 10 years doing XC racing
in the tight woods. I always needed more doctoring then my machines.
LOL.......Still have an 01 Magnum 500 I use For hauling the chain saws
around, and a little trail riding. Then there was my Scrambler 600
stroker that Mickey Dunlap did for me with a tad longer swing arm
to keep it on the ground from dead starts......Tale for another day.
Two machines that have been around forever with good long term
life expectancy has been the Honda Foreman, and the Polaris Sportsman's.

That's a tuff one to deal with both mentally and monetarily.
I have a 1986 Honda Fortrax 350. I would say it has had a semi rough life cause it's a work machine and did not and does not lead a pampered life. If I out live it I'll buy another Honda without giving it any thought.
Good Shoot'n,

My next door neighbors son bought a artic cat tracker a few years ago from cabelas
Electrical problems immediately . Cabelas warranty / service was shit
If you drive in water ( we’re in south la) it would die. At 800 miles the engine gtenaded. Tear down showed oil starvation
Got to hot even damaged the transmission case , no rebuild possible.
Oil was changed twice before, no signs of metal in old oil.
Was lucky to get 400$ for the bike, nobody wants them
Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Polaris

I own a 2000 Arctic 600 4x4 auto ATV. Has over 2000 miles on it. My sons and Ive beat the snot out of it for 24 yrs. Its not pretty anymore but still runs like a bear. Only thing major done to it was replaced CV boots and shock bushings. Its ben under water. Ran over a 50' gravel pit and landed upside down. Buried in a swamp. No amount of snow can stop it. Pulls logs. Put 27" 6 ply tires. still runs 62 mph. Wouldnt buy anything else. Reliable.

The dealer where I have my Honda Rincon serviced also sells the Polaris brand. I asked 'what do you guys ride?' they answered 'we ride Polaris, but you need a Honda'. Lots of agriculture in the area, they push the Hondas. Mine has certainly held up well, I used it on the ranch and just riding in the mountains, I go easy to enjoy the scenery. I've rode well over 50 miles in a day. The Rincon has independent suspension so it rides like a Cadillac. Now I just use it to plow snow.

Sorry to hear it junked on you.
Any time I'm at lowes, tractor supply, crumbelas and I see anyone looking at thier utvs i step up and say buy a name brand unit as those are not supported by any local atv, utv company. Your taking a chance it will work the next day.

I've also got a Polaris Sportsman 500. I have three other SxS vehicles, but that Polaris is by far the most capable and least likely to get stuck. I don't really beat on anything, too old to push things that hard, but the Polaris is a pretty nice all-around quad. One SxS that I have is a 6x4 gator, and I like that it's open with no ROPS, but it has no suspension, just big puffy tires and very little ground clearance. It gets stuck easily. Great for getting the mail or riding the field edges, but not for the woods or through mud and rutts.
I'm also a big fan of Shell Rotella T6 for just about everything. Change that just about annually in all the toys and so far, they've treated me well.
