Just meet a new friend at a farmers market and we got together and went on a 50 mile ATV ride looking for elk and deer for the fall. I saw his Honda had the same thing my Artic Cat had a nice metal rack on the front and back to tie down game or gear on. He went to the auto parts store and got a few feet of ID3/4" black rubber hose. Cut it to lengths to fit between the webbing and all over his racks. I asked why. He says I did that to have a rubber area to grab ahold of what ever your hauling and kind of keeps the gear from moving around as it is not slippery like the metal. Your load tends to stay in place better that just the metal. I just did it to mine and I can say it does help a lot. Cut to length and split it down the middle and slide it over the rounded pipe that's welded in place. and I put all the cut down so they will not be seen. Work's great a great idea for one and all and costs very little helps to hold any lad n better.

Yeah sxs is way to go down here with long hunting seasons.
I spent many years hunting off a Honda Foreman.ultra reliable but I'll take a windshield any day over atv without one

Maybe different ballgame down here in sure.we have a section of the state that you can't drive the biggest baddest truck through the woods without sinking it to the frame on normal dirt roads.1/3 of the state

Think your good cause it's dry and a 30 minute rain it takes 5 stuck trucks and a 4x4 tractor to get you out.been there

It's called the black belt.its like snot mixed with grease and glue.lol

Them atv's got old loading into bed of truck night before hunt also.just assume trailer a sxs to gate or camp

Alot better to haul corn, mineral and stands also..work days etc

You need to have both a Quad and a S/S

Here in Utah many US Forest trails are maintained at 66”

Mainly because of wider SxS machines along with US Forest employee accessibility

But still some are 50”…along with many BLM trails as well

If they’re tagged for 50” you’re not taking a 66” machine on it

So yes…both types of machines can be useful

I use a Kawasaki Teryx SxS

How I describe off road Utah…you can wear out a machine or kill a horse

Dumped the rear locking case, to small for 5gal buckets, traps. Standard oem racks are to short and about worthless.
Made racks that actually hold stuff including a rifle.
Front is attached to lid, so i can still get under it.
I did have 3 seaters, but just took to much room in garage, this atv does the same job, just not in a heated cab.
