so far, i have not found verification of this. at least not on usps site (which states in person with instrument signed in presence of postal employee and photo id), nor on a handful of 'self help' places.

Its the 7-11 in the seedy part of town that will cash anything for a percentage... ?

I dont want to hijack Emmitts thread, and my situation using USPS money orders was nothing like his issue. And I am not saying that the average Joe can redeem money orders with just the serial number. I will start my own thread.

People really need to understand that this country is quickly moving from a predominately honest society to a predominately dishonest one. Sad as that is.

People should also be aware that PayPal (PP) is not what it used to be. I've done countless transactions over the decades with PP from just a few $ to many thousands. Recently my 3D guy did a print for me, I went to PP the funds and it wouldn't use my PP credit card, kept saying I needed to link a cc to the account and use that. I thought this is odd but likely a glitch in the system. I do it and see a warning about how some cc companies take a PP transaction as a cash advance. I'm thinking I've done this a zillion times, no problem and I send the funds. A month later my cc statement shows up with cash advance charge and interest. I call the vendor and sure enough PP submitted it as a cash advance (according to them) and I need to talk to PP. I finally get a person on the phone from PP, they deny doing that and that they never process transactions as cash advance. I'm fairly certain they were lying to me. I cancel my PP CC, then request a check for my PP balance, followed by closing my PP. Called my CC vendor back, explained it all and they said no problem, we'll refund those charges and you should see it within 72hrs. Two days later the refunded charge and interest was there. So yeah, word to the wise, don't trust PayPal as they are not the same PayPal of the old days.

I made an agreement to purchase an item listed on Accurate Shooter from a 'Gold' member. I paid very quickly by USPS money orders. He acknowledged receiving full payment from me July 5th. He then proceeded to ghost me for 10 days and when he replied to my many messages and texts, used out of town for work as an excuse. He then proceeded to ghost me for another 8 days.

I called him out publically here and he finally shipped part of the purchase. I chased him for a few more weeks to get the brass and die. I continue to send him text messages, asking for the rest of the stuff. More than 3 months later he still has not sent all the agreed upon parts to me .

He last logged on to Accurate Shooter 3 days ago.
