Bushnell elite tactical

Hey guys. I'm looking to buy a new scope for my new gun. I'm looking at either the bushnell 6-24 ffp or the dmr 3.5-21 both with the g2dmr reticle. I'm hoping somebody who has used one or both of these can tell me how the glass compares to others in its class.

I don't think of bushnell as a scope with great optics but I really like the features and want somebody to change my mind. I don't have anywhere near by that has these to look through.

Not sure of the exact scope your asking about, but the Elite 6500 4.5x30 from Bushnell is a hidden jewel.... I took a 3.5x15x50 NSX off my 7mm SAUM and replaced it with the Bushnell, other than my friends ragging me about it, I am well pleased with the results....

The ones I've seen were impressive for the price. I think they are a great value and wouldn't hesitate to buy one. It seems to give up just a touch at the highest magnification, so I'd probably stay with the 3.5-21. I like the reticle and the glass is good for a scope with it's features and price tag. Don't worry what others think. Suit yourself and your budget. I think you'll be happy if it's for tactical. I prefer the ffp also for that type of shooting.

This has my attention....lots of discounts too

That should be 4.5-30......for some reason copy of the link dropped the decimal between the 4 and 5

My Elite Tactical 6-24x50 30 mm tube with the illuminated FFP mildot retical is a great scope. The most important thing of all it is 100% reliable. It always tracks perfect and holds zero. The glass is pretty good. It's not great. "Not great" is compared to Leupold mark 6 and SB. It is worth every penny I paid. I like FFP scopes. Next on the list is a Leopold Mark 6 4-18x44 FFP mildot. I looked through one at a local rifle range a few months ago and the glass was absolutely amazing! I never seen glass that good before. They cost less than $2K too.

Spend a little more money and get a good scope. A friend sent me three bushnell elites to check out. The glass in all of them is not what I would call "good" and they were bought as factory refurbs. Quality shows when in low light conditions. If the high ends are out of reach, look at the Sightron Big Skys and Leupolds.

If you buy one make sure you get a 6-24x50. They cost less than $900. If you look hard you can find a used one on here for $750 or even less. They are truly one of the best scopes you can get for that price range. Now Bushnell is trying to compete with the higher end leupolds, Nightforce and all the other $1800 and up scopes. They are not worth that much cash. They are MOST DEFINITELY worth under $1K! They are the most sold rifle scope brand because they are well known for being reliable, tracks and zeros perfect, good glass and less than $1000. Now that they jacking up their prices and trying to compete with the high end brands their sales are gonna drop! Nobody is gonna buy a Bushnell when they can get a Nightforce or Mark 6 for the same price.

I have purchased 2 of them in the last several years. Both of them are the tactical 2.5X16X42's. I own Schmidt&Bender, Nightforce, Leupold, Lyman ,Weaver, & Bausch&Lomb. The only thing that I don't care for is the size of the W&E knobs. As far as I am concerned they are an excellent scope and would recommend them. Thanks.

I have both these scopes and I like them. The 6-24 is mildot and the 3.5-21 is my go to scope now. I like the new reticle. Glass not as good as my nightforce 8-32 but I like the ffp and magnification range for the non competitive long distance shooting I enjoy. I think there is a used 3.5-21 for sale on this site.

i have both scopes u are asking about. The glass is a little better in the dmr than the 6-24. I have had several NF's and they were pretty good, but nf isn't known for awesome glass. Nf is a rugged, to hell and back scope with good glass. My ss5-20 has just as good glass if not better than NF. NF is a 1800.00 sfp scope that has a few reticle and knob choices. I could handle NF when it was a 1400 hispeed knob sfp, but not at 1800+. The newer bushnell dmr gen 2 are great but at 1900 is kinda pricey. Seemed to me they were more legitimate at the 1350 range. I picked up a new dmr gen1 g2 reticle for 1175 2 mo ago, thats a steal. The razor,Nf, and dmr's all source their glass from same japanese firm. Razor is nice but heavy and bulky. I got one for about 1350 from vortex because of a major foulup in repairing a pst. They kept the pst and i gave 550.00 and got the razor. To me the razor was comparable to my Nf, dmr, and ss5-20. If buying new i would have a hard time going with Nf or a razor. If swfa would offer their ss5-20 with the g2 reticle it would replace a bunch of scopes. The g2 reticle is just perfect for lr shooting with quick holds, plus the thin center is still good for shooting bugholes at 100.
