what does anyone think of the 20 MOA inserts on the Burris Zee rings.
gunamonth said:Just a little clarification might be helpful here. I believe the inserts are 5, 10 and 20 thousandths, not Minutes Of Angle. You need to do a little math to calculate the MOA change based on how far apart your rings are.
As far as quality and design, I think they're excellent. I have several sets of the Signature 30mm Zee's on hunting and varmint rifles that get banged around pretty good sometimes in the back of the truck and I've never had a problem. No need to lap them,I don't mind the lapping the others but it's tough to keep them from rusting later on hunting rifles) and they won't leave ring marks on the scope. You can also do some windage adjustment with one ring and elevation with the other.
Plus, they're cheap... they won't turn heads like a pair of Farrels with matching serial numbers but I'm not sure that's worth $150 to me, especially considering the body that the heads they turn are most likely attached to.
