Burris XTRiii 5.5-30 elevation turret stiff?

I have a Burris XTRiii 5.5-30 and the elevation turret has always been really stiff to turn. I thought it would eventually loosen up but hasn't. Does anyone else have this issue with this scope? I want to make sure this isn't normal for this model before I send it in to Burris to get checked out. The elevation knob is much harder to turn than the windage and parallax knobs.

I haven't had mine out of the safe in a while but I don't recall it being abnormally stiff. I'll try to remember to drag it out tomorrow and report back.

Have you tried turning the turret the full revolutions, stop-to-stop, a bunch of times?

I have a xtr111 and a xtr111i and I think they're just stiff enough to keep from accidently turning them. I haven't had a problem with them, get scope for the money.
