I am considering getting the Burris XTRiii 5.5 to 30 MRAD. However, I don't see much review and or comparisons online or even on this site. Found only one video review and one wright up. I wonder if there is reason for the lack of review.

If you have/had one please give me your feedback. And how it compares to other scopes (Vortex, Tract, NF...) If you had the chance to compare them.

I mostly do target shooting max out to 1000 yards. Not in competitions yet but am hoping to start mid this year.

Thanks for your feedback.

I have 2 XTR III 8-40x50 F-Class scopes, and really like them. They compare favorably to my Leupold VX-III 6.5-20x50 LR scopes. I have one on a Ruger Magnum Precision Rifle in .338 Lapua and have had no issues after 675 rounds, and the other is for a rifle build in process. They track very well (tall target and box tests) and hold POI. I got one for $800 on a Black Friday deal, and a lightly used one for the same price; I'll buy another to replace one of my Leupolds when I see a good price. The only surprise I had was that there is only +/-15 MOA of windage; the spec sheet said 30 MOA of windage which I assumed was +/-30. However, with the F-class reticle it's easy to hold off +/-20 MOA so I don't find it to be a problem. The 70 MOA of elevation starts a 0, which is nice for ELR.
